| The Foundation for Community Care serves to ensure the continuance and quality of local healthcare and emergency services in our rural communities. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer seventeen member Board of Trustees of individuals across Richland County. |

| The Foundation raises funds year-round for its endowment to fund necessary medical and emergency equipment and programs for our local hospital, nursing home, health departments, fire department, ambulance services, elderly services and more. Interest earnings from the endowment are allocated annually to critical community needs within these areas. Everyone in our healthcare service are benefits from these items and programs, and some of the funded equipment has literally saved lives. The Foundation also sponsors scholarships for students in healthcare fields. |
